The review articles accounted for the maximum number of publications [Figure 1] due to many review articles in the inaugural issue (20). However, after the inaugural issue, the original items have started to get published, with 13 articles published so far. Region-wise, most publications were on the knee joint (13), followed by the foot and ankle (8), and shoulder joints (7). The articles related to sports medicine, regenerative medicine, and editorials were clubbed together in others’ category and accounted for 15 articles [Figure 1].
The published articles in the JASSM have started gaining recognition. These are read and downloaded by a good number of readers from across the world. The top 10 article statistics are shown in [Table 2]. Some of these articles have already received a few citations also.

The JASSM has received the ISSN number and is indexed already in Google Scholar. The applications for the inclusion in the PubMed Central and other indexing bodies have also been made. With more indexing in 2021, the popularity of the JASSM should increase with more submissions to the journal. I am confident that JASSM would prosper and become a true International journal in arthroscopy and sports medicine in a short period and the near future.
